The wedding ceremonies in India have always been a matter of plan, preparations, spendings, and celebrations for a long time. The turnover of the wedding industry in India is around $50 billion. But the pandemic affected operations and the turnover of the business. However, the industry is now catching pace for recovery and growth.

For those who want to build their career in this industry, here are some tips to decide on a role in the industry.

Wedding Planner

After the date and venue for the wedding are decided, a wedding planner is responsible for everything related to the matrimonial occasion. From managing vendors and decoration staff to ensuring the services at the venue satisfy all guests, a wedding planner is responsible for all.

While the job has a bright future in India, it requires the ability to make quick decisions and handle many tasks at a time. Besides excellent communication skills, aspiring professionals must be able to work under pressure. It is an advantage if you have a degree or diploma in PR, Communications, Event, or Business Management.

Social media expert

Promotion on social media is key to the success of a brand. It requires a strong and impressive presence on different platforms of social media. A digital marketing executive or a social media expert knows how it can be done. To meet the job requirements, an insightful understanding of the SEO, SEM, Content Marketing, Social Media, and Website Management is needed.

A degree in Digital Marketing can help you land your first job. Freshers can start their career as a Social Media Executive, Content marketing executive, or SEO Analyst. This job can fetch you any amount between Rs, 25, and Rs.30 Lakh annually.

Technical roles

The pandemic has an apparent effect on the way of life. Now the virtual spaces are being preferred by the people to do everything.

Owing to the change in preferences of the consumers, the demand for technical hands is increasing with each passing day. Those who know to create and manage seamless virtual weddings are in great demand in the industry. A degree in software engineering is an advantage. The salary may vary anywhere between Rs. 10 Lakh and Rs. Lakh.

He aims to get customized services. The knowledge about the latest trend reflects in the performance of a manager at work. A degree in marketing or management is fit for this job.

Freelancers 

The industry also offers opportunities for skilled freelancers. Skilled photographers, make up artists, choreographers are always needed in the industry. To start your career, you must have the talent and work ethics. The salary of a freelancer depends on his work experience.
