The assessment of Class 12th students will be based on marks obtained by them in their Class 10th and 11th examinations, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) told the Supreme Court on June 17, 2021.

The Board, which submitted its evaluation formula to the Country’s top court, also said that around 40 percent of marks will be based on the Class 12 pre-board exam. The 30 percent will be based on the students’ performances in their Class 10th examinations.

The remaining 30 percent of the marks will be based on the student’s performance in Class 11th examinations.

KK Venugopal, Attorney General, said that the results will be announced by July 31, 2021.

Those who are not satisfied with their marks/grades can improve their marks by taking examinations physically. Such students will be able to appear in examinations after the COVID-19 situation improves in the country, he added.
