Elon Musk asks the only one question in every interview to catch the lies, according to a report by CNBC.

“Tell me about some of the most difficult problems you worked on and how you solved them.” This is the question that Elon Musk asks in each of the interviews he takes to make appointments.

Elon Musk explains his interview question

Explaining his interview question, he said, if the “people who really solved the problem know exactly how they solved it.”

“You want to make sure if there was some significant accomplishment. Were they really responsible, or was someone else more responsible?” The Tesla CEO added.

“Usually, someone who really had to struggle with a problem, they really understand the details, and they don’t forget.”

Effectiveness of Musk’s method

Interestingly, the Journal of Applied Research and Memory and Cognition had published a study. It showed the effectiveness of Elon Musk’s method to catch liars in December 2020.
