The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Class 10 exams will not take place this year while ISE class 12 exams will be allowed only after controlling the COVID-19 situation in the country, according to the announcement made by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).

This comes as a response to the sudden increase in COVID-19 across the country. An objective criterion will be developed by the board for the results of the class 10 students.

According to the announcement made by CISCE on April 14, students can also choose to appear for the ICSE Class 10th exams in case they are not satisfied with their results.

“In view of the ICSE (Class 10) candidates opting for the second option, the CISCE will develop an unbiased criterion while preparing the result of such candidates,” the council had said.

  • The CISCE will adopt a ‘fair and unbiased criterion’ to declare the results of Class 10 students.
  • The CISCE will soon announce a date for the class 10th results.
  • Not only in 2021 but also in 2020 the CISCE exams were canceled due to the same reason.
  • The best three percentage marks and internal assessment marks were used by the council as the basis for the assessment of the students in 2020.
  • The council will decide the schedule for the ISE class 12th exams on the first of June 2021.
