Indian Army SSC Recruitment 2021: Steps to apply

The Indian Army is recruiting unmarried male and female law graduates for the grant of its Short Service Commission at the judge advocate general branch.

It has issued an official notification on its official website. Those who are eligible and interested can submit their online application on or before June 4, 2021.

After selection, the candidates will have to complete a 49-weeks pre-commission training at Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai.

The University of Madras will grant a postgraduate Diploma in Defense and Strategic Studies to candidates after this pre-commission training.

The appointment of the candidates will be finalized for an initial period of ten years. The tenure of the selected candidates can further be extended by four years.


Candidates should have an LLB Degree with at least 55 percent aggregate marks. The candidates should also be registered as advocates at the Bar Council of India/state. The minimum age limit for the post is 21 years and the maximum is 27 years.

Steps to Apply

  • Go to the official website of the Indian Army i.e.
  • On the homepage of the website, click on ‘Officers Entry Apply/Login.’
  • Select ‘Registration Link’ and enter your details
  • After completing registration, click on the ‘Apply Online’ option
  • After registration, you will get ‘Officers Selection-Eligibility’ on your screen
  • Complete the registration form and click on the apply
  • Take a copy of your application form before submitting it. It will help you in the future.
