The Indian Coast Guard has come out with a notification inviting applications for 140 positions under the General Duty (GD) and Technical cadres for Assistant Commandants (Group 'A' Gazetted Officers) through its recruitment process for 2024. The applications are already live on the official portal at joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in.
 

Important Dates

 Registration Start Date: February 19, 2025
Last Date of Online Registration: March 6, 2025

Assistant Commandant selection will be conducted on the basis of All India Merit List for the candidates, determined from their performance in five stages of Examination. All stages should be cleared to get eligible for selection. In addition to these, candidates will go under biometric verification and Photo identification and document verification in subsequent stages.

Vacancies and Stipend

Recruitment will be done in many positions under the Indian Coast Guard with the following pay bands:

Assistant Commandant: ₹56,100
Deputy Commandant: ₹67,700
Commandant (JG): ₹78,800
Commandant: ₹1,23,100
Deputy Inspector General: ₹1,31,100
Inspector General: ₹1,44,200
Additional Director General: ₹1,82,200
Director General: ₹2,05,400

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay a fee of ₹300, except for SC/ST applicants, who are exempted. Payment can be made online through net banking or by using debit/credit cards or UPI.

Candidates should attach the following documents with his application:

- Scanned Signature
- Thumb Impression
- Date of Birth Proof
- Identity Proof
- Service Certificate/NOC
- Domicile Certificate

If selected for Stage II, candidates will also have to furnish the following documents:

- 10th and 12th Mark Sheets and certificates.
- Graduation/Post Graduation Mark Sheets and Degree Certificate
- Provisional Certificate (for candidates awaiting final results)
- NCC certificates (if applicable)
- Commercial Pilot License (if applicable)
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
