Students who have topped class 10, 12, graduate and postgraduate exams will be able to witness the Republic Day or R-Day 2021 Parade from the PM Modi’s box, the Education Ministry announced on January 25, 2021.
The students will have the opportunity to attend the grand event with the incumbent Prime Minister of the country. Education Minister Ramesh Pokhjriyal will felicitate these students with the certificates. Besides these, they will have opportunity to interact with the education minister.

“Happy to share that meritorious students across the country will be given a chance to witness the Republic Day 2021 parade from the Prime Minister’s Box. They will also have a chance to meet & interact with the Minister of Education, Govt. of India Shri @DrRPNishank,” the Education Ministry tweeted.
The authorities, however, have cut down the number of participants from over 600 to just 401 this year. It will help to avoid overcrowding at R-Day 2021 event.

As many as 321 students from 4 Delhi schools and 80 folk artists from Kolkata will attend the cultural programme at the Republic Day parade in Rajpath, the Defense Ministry had said earlier.

The Education Ministry will hold a series of virtual events for schools across the country. All of the events will take place in the virtual spaces.
