SBI PO recruitment 2020: Know more about the opportunity

The State Bank Of India has issued a notification to appoint candidates on a total of 2000 vacant posts of the  Probationary officer.

The last date for the submission of the application is December 4, 2020. Those preparing for Bank PO have limited attempts. Candidates from the general category have 4 attempts, and candidates from other categories can appear in the exam 7 times. Candidates belonging to SC, SC (PwD), and ST can always appear in the exam. The attempts will be counted from the examination held on April 18, 2010.

Any graduate can apply for this post. It is the minimum educational qualification required for the exam. Those who are in their final year of graduation can apply provisionally for the post but will have to show proof of having completed graduation before or on December 31 if they are called for an interview.

“Those who are in the Final Year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.12.2020,” SBI has mentioned in the job notification.

“Candidates having Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.12.2020. Candidates possessing qualification of Chartered Accountant may also apply,” it has also mentioned in the job notification.

Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age on April 1, 2020. The rules for relaxation in age can be found in the notification. The selection process for the post includes two online tests and one interview. Those who pass the first online exam will subsequently be invited for the second online exam, the main examination.

The preliminary or first examination is scheduled for December 31, 2020, January 2, 4, and 5, 2021. Admit cards will be released in the third week of the next month. The results of the first or preliminary online exam will be announced in the third week of January.

The second or main online examination will be held on January 29, 2021, and the result of the exam will be announced in the fourth week of February. The interviews of the candidates will be conducted in March 2021. The final results will be declared in the last week of March 2021. SBI will give pre-exam training to those who belong to SC, ST, and religious minority communities.

“Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment as Probationary Officers (POs) in State Bank of India. The selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India,” SBI has notified.
