UPSC Results: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated the candidates who successfully cleared the UPSC Civil Services exam.
Taking to Twitter, PM Modi said that an exciting and satisfying career in public service awaits them.
“Congratulations to those who successfully cleared the UPSC Civil Services examination. An exciting and satisfying career in public service awaits. Those who have cleared the exam will go on to have key administrative roles during an important period of our nation’s journey,” he said in a tweet.
PM Modi also shared a message for those who did not manage to clear the UPSC exam. Calling them talented individuals, he said that more attempts await them.
“To those young friends who did not clear the UPSC examination, I would like to say- you are very talented individuals. There are more attempts awaiting. At the same time, India is full of diverse opportunities waiting to be explored. Best wishes in whatever you decide to do.”
UPSC Civil Services Results 2020
On September 24, Union Service Public Commission announced the UPSC Civil Services Results 2020. This year, IIT graduate Shubham Kumar from Katihar district of Bihar secured the first rank. The AIR 1 candidate completed his Civil Engineering from IIT Bombay. He said he wish to work in either Bihar or Madhya Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Jagrati Awasthi secured the second rank, while Ankita Jain managed to get third.
The mains exam was held in January 2021, while the interview round was conducted in August-September, 2021. More than 2000 candidates were called for the interview round. This year, around 180 candidates were selected for the Administrative Services, 36 for the Indian Foreign Service, 200 for the Indian Police Service, 302 for the Group A services. For Group B services posts, 118 candidates were selected.
Registered candidates who have taken the UPSC CSE 2020 mains exam and completed the interview can view the UPSC Civil Result 2020 Merit List on the official website – upsc.gov.in.
