Veer Pratap Singh Raghav, born in the village of Dalpatpur in Uttar Pradesh, has become an inspiration for many after securing the 92nd rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination on his third attempt. Despite facing severe financial difficulties, he remained steadfast in his pursuit of his dreams.

Veer Pratap's journey began with his primary education at Arya Samaj School in Karoora, followed by secondary education at Surajbhan Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Shikarpur. His daily commute involved walking five kilometers to school, crossing a river due to the lack of a bridge in his village.

Higher Education and UPSC Preparation

In 2015, Veer Pratap earned his B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University. Soon after, he started preparing for the UPSC exams. Despite not succeeding in his first two attempts in 2016 and 2017, he did not give up. His persistence paid off in 2019 when he finally cleared the exam on his third attempt.

Overcoming Financial Hurdles

Faced with financial constraints, Veer Pratap took loans to fund his UPSC preparation. His hard work and determination eventually led to his appointment as an Assistant Collector in Tamil Nadu. His journey demonstrates that financial hardships and obstacles can be overcome with dedication and perseverance.

Family Support and Aspirations

Veer Pratap's success is also a testament to the support of his family. His elder brother, who also aspired to become an IAS officer, chose to join the CRPF due to financial difficulties. This sacrifice further motivated Veer Pratap to achieve his goal.

Academic Excellence

Choosing Philosophy as his optional subject, Veer Pratap scored an impressive 306 out of 500 in the main examination, showcasing his academic prowess. His success story is a beacon of hope for all those striving to turn their dreams into reality.
