Legendary musician AR Rahman’s eldest daughter Khatija Rahman got married to sound engineer Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed. The wedding took place in Chennai on May 5. Khatija is also a musical artist.
AR Rahman also shared a family photo from the wedding ceremony on Instagram. Posting a photo on social media Khatija Rahman announced the wedding as “the most awaited day in my life.”
Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed works at AR Rahman’s studio. The duo got engaged in December last year.
Khatija Rahman had made her singing debut at the age of 14. She sang O Maramanishi/Puthiya Manidha in the Tamil film Robo with musical legend SP Balasubramanyam. The song was composed by none other than AR Rahman himself.
One of her most recent songs was Rock A Bye Baby for the Kriti Sanon-starrer film Mimi.
Khatija Rahman has two siblings — Raheema Rahman and AR Ameen. Ameen is also a singer, he attended the Grammys night with his father last month.
