Bollywood actor and popular face of the 90s era, Rahul Roy suffered brain stroke while shooting for a project at Kargil. The actor Rahul Roy is recuperating at Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital, as per sources. Following the brain stroke, the 52-year-old Bollywood actor, Rahul Roy was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
“He was hospitalised two days ago after he arrived from Kargil. He was admitted due to a progressive brain stroke,” a family source told PTI. “He is safe and recovering well. The recovery will take some time,” they added.
Rahul Roy was shooting for film ‘LAC: Live The Battle’ at Kargil which is being directed by Nitin Kumar Gupta. It is being said that the extreme weather conditions caused brain stroke. Rahul Roy was brought to Srinagar from Kargil and then rushed to Mumbai for immediate treatment.
Other than Rahul Roy, LAC: Live The Battle also stars former Bigg Boss 14 contestant Nishant Singh Malkhani. In his upcoming movie, Rahul Roy plays the role of a colonel. The film is being co-produced by Chitra Vakil Sharma and Nivedita Basu.
Rahul Roy rose to popularity with his blockbuster film and Mahesh Bhatt directorial ‘Aashiqui’ where he starred opposite actress Anu Agarwal. He later worked in films like ‘Junoon’, ‘Sapne Saajan Ke’, ‘Jaanam’, and ‘Phir Teri Kahaani Yaad Aaayee’ to name a few.
Apart from big screen, Rahul Roy has also featured in several Indian television dramas. In 2006, the actor participated and won the first season of popular reality show Bigg Boss. Rahul has also started his own production house named Rahul Roy Productions.
