Abhishek Bachchan is currently in Kolkata, shooting for his upcoming feature film, Bob Biswas. The 44-year-old Yuva actor flew to Kolkata earlier this week and is currently occupied with back to back shootings of his upcoming projects.
With co-star Chitrangda Singh, Abhishek Bachchan was spotted shooting for the upcoming crime thriller Bob Biswas. On the morning of Thursday, photos from the movie surfaced on the internet and went viral within few hours.
In the photos, Guru actor, Abhishek Bachchan looks extremely different and almost unrecognizable from his usual style. Wearing blue shirt and dark hued pants, Abhishek Bachchan has also put on large glasses and ‘Bob Biswas wig’.
Taking the look of a killer next door, Abhishek Bachchan appeared to be the contract killer from 2012 thriller Kahaani. Abhishek Bachchan’s co-star in Bob Biswas, Chitrangda Singh was seen in a blue saree teamed up with maroon blouse and a black bag. Chitrangda had a shawl on her hands while her other hand is guiding a little boy who is walking by their side.
Earlier on Wednesday, Chitrangada had shared a picture of herself preparing for the shoot. “On set .. face paint on ! Yayy #bobbiswas #boundscript #cityofjoy #happytobebackatwork,” she wrote.
Directed by Diya Annapurana Ghosh, Bob Biswas is written by Sujoy Ghosh, who directed a murder mystery Kahaani way back in 2012. Abhishek Bachchan has taken the look of a mysterious contract killer and his pictures are giving some glimpses into the movie.
Kahaani, starring Vidya Balan, had an ominous character named Bob Biwas, who lived a dual life as a below average insurance agent and a contract bases killer. Saswata Chatterjee played the role of Bob Biswas Kahaani.
The makers of Kahaani didn’t flesh out the character of Bob Biswas in wide details but Sawasta’s performance left the audience wanting for more. However, the makers of Bob Biswas received massive backlash from the audience as they came to know about Abhishek Bachchan playing the character of Bob Biswas.
But the recent pictures and almost unrecognizable look of Abhishek Bachchan has stunned the social media. Produced under the banner of Shah Rukh Khan’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment, Bob Biswas’ release date is yet to be announced. However its first ever announcement was made on 25th November 2019.
