Ajith Kumar recently met with director Prashanth Neel to discuss the possibility of working on two films, according to a report by DT Next. The first film is expected to be a standalone project, while the second could tie into the world of Yash's "KGF." However, these projects will likely take at least a year to get underway. Both films are expected to be produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films.
The "Valimai" actor is currently filming "Vidaa Muyarchi," directed by Magizh Thirumeni, which is anticipated to release around Diwali 2024. After "Vidaa Muyarchi," Ajith will move on to Adhik Ravichandran's "Good Bad Ugly."
Ajith's meeting with Prashanth Neel occurred during a break from filming "Vidaa Muyarchi." Reportedly, Neel requested three years of Ajith's time.
"Their first collaboration, which could be AK 64, will be a standalone project. This will go on floors in 2025 and release in 2026," the report stated.
Their second project, which could be Ajith's 65th or 66th film, is expected to be a lead-up to "KGF 3." "The climax of the second film will lead to 'KGF 3,' and Ajith's character is touted to be the biggest of them all in the Prashanth Neel Cinematic Universe," the report added.
If everything goes as planned, Yash and Ajith Kumar could share screen space in "KGF 3." The official announcement of the project is expected in 2025.
Meanwhile, Prashanth Neel has "Salaar: Part 2 - Shouryanga Parvam" and an untitled film with Jr NTR in the pipeline. It remains to be seen if Neel will work on Ajith Kumar's film between these two projects.
