Bollywood actor and superstar Akshay Kumar shared that he was overwhelmed as filmmaker Christopher Nolan penned down a note for veteran actress Dimple Kapadia, praising her stellar performance in his directorial Tenet.
Popular bollywood actress Dimple Kapadia, who is mother in law of Akshay Kumar, made her Hollywood debut with the espionage-thriller Tenet which made a theatrical release in country on Friday.
In the note shared by Akshay Kumar, Christopher Nolan has penned down that he has nothing but love and immense respect for the 63-year-old veteran actress who essays the role of Priya Singh, an arms dealer.
The Laxmii actor Akshay Kumar shared on Twitter that receiving Nolan’s praise for veteran actress’ performance is a proud moment for Akshay Kumar, both as an artiste and a son in law.
Akshay Kumar is married to Dimple Kapadia’s daughter Twinkle Khanna.
“Here’s my proud son-in-law moment! #ChristopherNolan pens a heartfelt note to #DimpleKapadia on the eve of their release. Had I been in her place, I wouldn’t have been able to move in awe, but having watched her working her magic in #Tenet, I couldn’t be more happy and proud of Ma,” the 53-year-old actor said.
Along with Dimple Kapadia, Tenet movie also features actors like John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Michael Caine, Clemence Poesy, and Himesh Patel.
Dimple called working with Nolan a life-changing experience and said that it all felt like a beautiful dream. She told PTI in an interview, “Honestly, I was under so much pressure of my own while doing it. I was so tense that I couldn’t really appreciate or enjoy what was going on. If I think about it now, it was a beautiful dream for me,”
For the shooting of Tenet’s movie scenes, Nolan along with Pattinson, Washington and Kapadia, stayed in Mumbai for a week in September 2019.
