While 2020 had been a year of no buzz around first day, first show, there are still many celebs who remained the highest earner even during such tough times.
Earlier in August, Forbes released the annual list of highest paid actors in the world and Akshay Kumar is the only Bollywood star in the top 10.
With earnings of $48.5 million (roughly Rs 362 crore), Akshay Kumar occupied the sixth place in the list. Most of his income came from product endorsements, Forbes said.
And as we have stepped into 2021, let’s take a look at the top 5 highest paid actors of Bollywood.
#1 Akshay Kumar
With a long list of upcoming movies including Bachchan Pandey (with Kriti Sanon), Atrangi Re (with Sara Ali Khan), Bell Bottom (with Vaani Kapoor) and Prithviraj (with Manushi Chillar) Bollywood’s Khiladi Kumar remains at the top spot in the highest paid actors list of 2020.
#2 Salman Khan
Superstar Salman Khan, who recently turned 55, has dominated the film industry for over three decades. With his brilliant performance, stellar looks and unmatchable style, Salman Khan gets paid an enormous amount of over 100 Crores for every film.
However, the releases of his awaited movies titled, Radhe, co-starring Disha Patani and Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali were pushed to 2021, Salman Khan managed to grab the second spot in the list of highest paid bollywood actors in 2020.
#3 Shahrukh Khan
Bollywood’s King, Shahrukh Khan remains at the third spot in our list, irrespective of the fact that his past two films didn’t do wonders on big screen.
Thanks to his national as well as global popularity, SRK remains one of the highest paid bollywood stars of 2020. His recently started shooting for his upcoming venture ‘Pathan’ opposite Deepika Padukone leaving his fans excited.
#4 Aamir Khan
Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist is at the 4th spot in terms of the highest paid actors of bollywood. Unlike many actors, Aamir Khan releases just one or two movies in a year, but with his stellar performance and whopping fees per film, Aamir Khan remains to have one of huge bank accounts. His upcoming films include Laal Singh Chaddha (alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan) amongst others.
5. Ajay Devgn
The Singham actor, who owns an impressive fleet of luxurious cars and a private jet, is one of the highest paid bollywood actors in 2020. Ajay Devgn is the only actor who delivered a blockbuster hit in 2020, Tanhaji, that was released in January this year.
