A video making rounds on social media shows Akshay Kumar exiting the polling station after casting his vote. Just as he was walking away, an elderly man called out to him and began complaining about the condition of public toilets that Akshay had helped build.
The senior citizen said, "Sir, the toilet you built is in bad shape. I've been maintaining it for the last three to four years." Responding patiently, Akshay replied, "We’ll speak to the BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation)." The man further added, “The metal containers you’ve used are expensive to maintain. Provide the boxes, and I’ll take care of them.”
Akshay assured him, “I’ve already provided the boxes. Now we need to coordinate with the BMC.”
Akshay Kumar had earlier collaborated with Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray to construct public bio-toilets on Juhu Beach. This initiative was part of the actor's ongoing efforts to promote hygiene and cleanliness.
