Amazon India has recently launched a mobile-only plan for Prime Video, known as Prime Video Mobile Edition. It is being seen as a move to compete with Netflix’s 199 mobile-only plan. This Amazon’s Prime Video Mobile edition will be tied directly to your prepaid plan.
Amazon is collaborating with Airtel to start its Prime Video Mobile Edition and all the Airtel customers will be eligible for a 30-day free trial. This plan will offer a standard definition quality on a single device.
The mobile addition plan aims to accelerate Prime Video’s adoption in India and allow an even larger number of audiences to access entertainment content. You can also choose to upgrade your video experience that will have multiple screen share, streaming, access on TV and HD/4K content.
India is seen as the fastest-growing territories when it comes to internet penetration. Mobiles phones have now become an indispensable part of people’s lifestyles.
