Amitabh Bachchan has become yet another Bollywood celebrity to receive first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. The actor confirmed the same in a tweet on Thursday night. The actor also mentioned that all of his family members except Abhishek Bachchan has received the vaccine. Last month, the actor had mentioned that he will receive the vaccine soon.

As the 78-year-old actor received the vaccination last night, he took to Twitter to inform the same. He wrote, “Got it done! My CoviD vaccination this afternoon.. All well.. (sic).”

In his blog, he wrote that he got himself, his family and staff tested for Covid-19 and all are coronavirus negative. “DONE.. vaccination done.. all well.. did Covid test for family and staff yesterday .. results came today .. all good , all negative .. so done the vaccine.. all family done except Abhishek .. he be on location and shall do it on return soon in a few days (sic),” wrote Amitabh.

Big B had contracted the virus last year in July. He was admitted to Nanavati hosptial in Mumbai. After Amitabh Bachchan, his son Abhishek Bachchan also tested positive for COVID-19. The actor had informed about the inection through a tweet.

Abhishek Bachchan also Tweeted about the infection. He wrote, “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you (sic).”

What’s on the work front for Big B?

At 78 also, Amitabh Bachchan remains one of the busiest actors in Bollywood.He has Rumi Jaffery’s Chehre and it also stars Emraan Hashmi, Rhea Chakraborty among others. Earlier, it was to be released on April 9. However, due to the rising coronavirus cases, Chehre got rescheduled. Big B will also share the screen space with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra.

Amitabh also has Jhund, Mayday and Aankhen 2 in pipeline.
