Ashiesh Roy death: Friend reveals he was planning to get MARRIED two years ago

The untimely demise of actor Ashiesh Roy has sent shockwaves across the TV industry. Ashiesh, known for his roles in ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ and ‘Jeanie Aur Juju’, passed away on November 24 due to kidney failure. He was 55. The actor, who was not keeping well since a long time, took his last breathe at his home in Mumbai. It’s hard to believe that the talented comedian and voice-over artist is no more.

Tinsel town celebs including Manoj Bajpayee offered condolences on social media after Roy’s death. The ‘Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari’ actor tweeted, “Gone too soon Bond #AshishRoy !! Rest in peace my friend.”

Ashiesh’s close friend Sooraj Thapar, while talking to an entertainment portal, revealed that the ‘Byomkesh Bakshi’ star had planned to get married two years ago but fate had something else in store for him.

Sooraj told SpotboyE that Ashiesh had called him from Kolkata two years ago to inform him that he found a girl with whom he would tie the knot. The ‘Sasural Genda Phool’ actor said that he was very happy when he heard the good news; however, the wedding was called off due to some problems. He added that things didn’t work out between the two sides and Ashiesh Roy lived his entire life alone.

Ashiesh had shared a post on Facebook to inform everyone about his dialysis. He requested the fans to provide his financial assistance for his medical treatment. Several tinsel town celebs including filmmaker Anurag Kashyap lent a helping hand to the ‘Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi’ actor.

His ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ co-stars Avika Gor and Manish Raisinghan mourned his death on social media. They shared photos with the late actor on their Instagram stories.

On the professional front, Ashiesh Roy was last seen on the small screen in ‘Aarambh’ as Maaran Dev. He worked in Hindi films like ‘MP3: Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar’ and ‘Raja Natwarlal. Ashish also dubbed for several Hollywood films including ‘The Dark Knight’, ‘Superman Returns’, ‘Man of Steel, to name a few.
