Bachchhan Paandey’s much-anticipated trailer has finally been uploaded online. While fans enjoyed seeing Akshay Kumar and other celebrities such as Kriti Sanon, Arshad Warsi, Pankaj Tripathi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sanjay Mishra, Abhimanyu Singh, and Prateik Babbar in the same film, other netizens pointed out how segments of the scenes were clearly taken from viral memes on social media.
In the teaser, we see Akshay Kumar’s character, Bachchhan Paandey, trying to grasp Pankaj Tripathi’s crotch when the latter is handing over the film’s script. This scene was allegedly reproduced from a viral meme, according to internet users. People also blasted the film’s poster, which shows Akshay and Jacqueline posing with a straw in their lips and a coconut in their hands. This pose was also apparently copied from the viral meme.

The Bachchhan Paandey trailer, however, also teases superb performances, an inventive spaghetti background score, and elegant action. With larger-than-life visuals and Akshay Kumar in a never-before-seen, scary demeanour, it transports moviegoers to India’s heartland. Farhad Samji’s film is rife with pop-culture references.
It stars Akshay Kumar’s trademark comic timing and Arshad Warsi’s top-notch performance, with Kriti Sanon, Pankaj Tripathi, and Sanjay Mishra rounding out the cast. On the occasion of Holi, on March 18, Bachchhan Paandey will be released in theatres pan-India.
