Popular comedian Bharti Singh grabbed all the eyeballs on Saturday (November 21) after the Narcotics Control Bureau conducted a raid at her residence in Mumbai. The NCB recovered 86.5 grams of cannabis from her place, a report in ANI said. The drugs law enforcement agency arrested Bharti Singh for alleged possession and consumption of a banned drug after interrogating her for over 3 hours. The comedian and her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa were summoned by the agency after it recovered narcotics substance from their house. Bharti Singh’s mother wanted to abort her
During an interaction with Rajeev Khandelwal on ‘JuzzBaat’, Bharti made a shocking revelation. She revealed the reason why her mother wanted to abort her. TV’s Lalli said that her mother didn’t wish to bring her to this world due to their poor financial condition. Her mum tried some methods of abortion but fate had already decided that Bharti would survive at all costs. After she was born, Bharti’s mother left no stone unturned to provide her everything despite their hardships.
Bharti Singh’s father passed away when she was two
Bharti Singh’s father, who was of Nepali descent, died when she was only two years old. She couldn’t get fatherly love and her mother single-handedly raised her and her two siblings.
An audition changed her life
Bharti Singh went to NCC camps as it allowed her to stay away from home. She gave auditions and even earn money from them. It was comedian Sudesh Lahiri, who recognised her talent and offered the first role of her career in a play. Later, Rajiv Thakur also offered her a role.

Bharti Singh excels in archery and pistol shooting
In case you have watched ‘India’s Got Talent’, you must have seen Bharti Singh’s pistol shooting skills. She couldn’t pursue a career in the field of sports due to lack of money, which acted as a barrier for her in buying equipment and clothes. In an interview Bharti said that if she was not a comedian, she would have represented the country at Olympics in archery or pistol shooting.
