BTS, the popular music band, added yet another feather in its cap as their 2020 superhit ‘Dynamite’ smashed records of PSY. The song has officially become the number one song to remain on the sales chart for most weeks.
Dynamite from BTS has remained steady at No. 1 for 32 weeks on music charts. For the Billboard Charts, this the longest period for a single track to remain on the number one position. Interestingly, the song has smashed the record of PSY’s Gangnum Style and has created yet another history.

Launched last year, the 3 minute 43 seconds song has managed to garner 26 million likes on YouTube. The official video of Dynamite has 983 million views on YouTube.
PSY’s Gangnam Style has slipped to second position with a total of 31 weeks while ‘Baby Shark’ is at the third place with 20 weeks. On fourth place is ‘Gentlemen’ with 15 weeks and the fifth place is occupied by ‘MIC drop’ with 10 weeks.
Not only Dynamite but BTS also occupies 6th spot with their song titled ‘Boy with Luv.’ Notably, BLACKPINK’s song titled ‘Ice Cream’ is also on the same spot as it ruled the charts for eight weeks straight. ‘Dynamite’ has also smashed the all-time record for most weeks at number 1 in Digital Song Sales chart history with a total of 18 weeks.
Meanwhile, Jin, J-Hope, JungKook, Jimin, RM, V and SUGA are up for their first Brit Award. These singers from BTS have been nominated for the Best International Group. The boys will be contending against long Fontaines D.C., Foo Fighters, Haim and Run the Jewels.
