Ajey Nagar, widely dubbed as CarryMinati is all set to make his bollywood debut with a role in Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn starrer MayDay.
Just like his real-life character, the 21-year-old CarryMinati will be essaying the role of a social media sensation in the movie as well.
Carry, as his fans call him, confirms to Hindustan Times, “My brother/business head Deepak Char got a call from Kumar Mangat Pathak (Co-Producer at Devgn’s production company) and I have been meaning to align forces with them since a while now.”
‘Anxious’ is the word he chooses to describe what he felt when the film came his way. “What made it really interesting for me was when I heard I am supposed to play my own character (CarryMinati) & the way it’s going to be shown on screen. I am excited to see how this will unfold,” he reveals.
Leading YouTuber CarryMinati, aka Ajey Nagar, who has over 27.5 million subscribers, will join Mayday, the thriller-drama directed by Ajay Devgn and starring both Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan.
He said that though he does not want to pursue acting as a full-time job, he is hoping to learn a thing or two from Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn as they are the personalities he looks up to and fondly admires.
The film is being produced by Ajay Devgn Ffilms and directed by Ajay Devgn. It is set to release on 29th April 2022.
The actor will also act alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Angira Dhar. Now, the latest addition to the team is the popular Indian Youtuber CarryMinati, real name Ajey Nagar.
