Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone is infamous for her philanthropic and charitable nature. The actress recently came to an acid attack survivors rescue by donating monetarily for her treatment.
Deepika donated Rs. 10 Lakhs for Chapaak co-star Bala’s kidney transplant. Both of Bala’s kidneys were failing and affected her already weak immunity from surviving an acid attack. The actress donated the amount to a fundraising campaign namely ‘Save Bala’.
Deepika Padukone had worked with Bala in her 2020 film Chapaak. Padukone played the role of an acid attack survivor and Bala shared the screen with the actress in a few scenes.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone is currently shooting for ‘Pathan‘ alongside Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. It is speculated to release in the latter half of 2022. She is also working on Shakun Batra’s next movie alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday.
Deepika will also be starring opposite Hrithik Roshan in ‘Fighter‘, India’s first aerial action franchise. She will also be seen in her self-produced adaptation of ‘The Intern‘ alongside Amitabh Bachchan.

Deepika Padukone’s upcoming Hollywood film
Deepika has also bagged a Hollywood film which is said to be a cross-cultural romantic comedy that will be developed by STXfilms, a division of Eros STX Global Corporation, and Temple Hill Studio.
“There is a reason Deepika is one of the biggest global stars to come from India. She is enormously talented with an infectious personality and her profile continues to grow as an international superstar,” said Adam Fogelson, chairman of STXfilms Motion Picture Group.

The film will also be co-produced by Deepika’s production house Ka Production. In a statement about the same, she said “Ka Productions was founded with the aim to develop and produce purposeful content with global appeal. I’m thrilled to be partnering with STXfilms and Temple Hill Productions, that share Ka’s ambition and creative vision and look forward to bringing impactful and dynamic cross-cultural stories to the world.”
The film has a massive budget of $75 million, approximately Rs 550 crores. It is going to be shot in parts of New York as well as India next year.
