Deepika Padukone celebrated her 36th birthday with a special post that served as something of a reminder to herself. The actress summed up her journey in the video (both personal as well as the professional aspect of it). Deepika’s video served as a wake-up call.
Sharing the video on Instagram, the actress wrote: “When you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a track that has been there all the while…and the life you ought to be living, is the life you are living. So follow your bliss…don’t be afraid. And doors will open where you never knew they would.”

She says in the video: “I keep saying this to people that life is happening while you are also building your career and you can’t forget that. Maybe somewhere I forgot that. I think I forgot who I was, who am I the person. I am different as an actor, I am different as a person. I have evolved. I hope I have.”
Defining her idea of success, the Piku star added, “I think if you are able to shift the needle, if you are able to impact people’s lives in a positive way, if you are able to bring about change, if you are able to have people just sort of think differently or see differently, I think today that for me is success.”
Deepika Padukone has a hectic work schedule ahead of her, with multiple projects in the works. She was most recently seen in the sports film ’83, in which her husband Ranveer Singh portrayed cricket icon Kapil Dev and she played his wife Romi Dev. She was also a producer of the film.
With Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi, she will also star in Shakun Batra’s Gehraaiyaan. She has a film with Prabhas as well. Deepika will also act with Amitabh Bachchan in the Hindi adaptation of The Intern. She will also star alongside Hrithik Roshan in Siddharth Anand’s flick Fighter.
