Delhi police rule out unnatural death, but has the mystery of the Rs 15 crore dispute been solved?

Published Date:

In an interview with Santosh Rai, who had worked with the late Satish Kaushik for 34 years, the manager shared harrowing facts of the actor’s final moments. Santosh acknowledged that Kaushik had trouble breathing before passing away in the early morning hours of March 9. Now, alarming news rumours about Satish Kaushik’s passing have surfaced online, in which a woman claims that her husband murdered the senior actor over a Rs 15 crore argument. However, ETimes has been able to confirm that Kaushik’s death was not the result of foul play thanks to sources close to the Delhi police and his family.

An anonymous woman who identified herself as the wife of a Delhi-based businessman said that her husband had slain Satish Kaushik over a disagreement involving Rs. 15 crore. According to reports, the woman filed a police complaint in Delhi alleging that her husband had recently borrowed Rs 15 crore from Satish Kaushik. Her spouse saw Satish Kaushik at the event where he was last seen, and the actor demanded that the man’s husband reimburse him for 15 crores. Afterwards, the businessman told the woman that because Kaushik lacked the funds to make good on his debt, he would have to kill him. The businessman stated that the pandemic caused him to lose the money.

Delhi police ruled out any chance of Kaushik’s death being an accident. The complaint made by the woman to the Delhi police cannot be validated, according to the source. But, the source added that a final decision about this supposed complaint won’t be made until later today, until the police officers involved can confirm or refute the complaint’s truthfulness. Rajeev Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest), was reported as saying in another IANS report: “Because Kaushik’s family and the local police are in contact, there is no reason to suspect that he died suddenly. Nothing unusual or illegal has been discovered in the investigation that has been performed thus far. But, the police investigation is still ongoing.”

We also had the opportunity to speak with sources close to the Kaushik family, who confirmed that any allegations of foul play in relation to Satish Kaushik’s death were unfounded. The source insisted that there was no foul play involved in Kaushik’s death and that he passed away from a heart attack.

The Delhi Police had earlier yesterday released a statement stating that they had received a preliminary report of the post mortem and that the cause of death was determined to be a cardiac arrest brought on by coronary artery blockage linked to coronary artery disease and that the manner of death appeared to be natural.
