Dhanush’s Big Comeback: New Film D52 Announced with Dawn Pictures!
Actor Dhanush has made headlines once again after resolving his issues with the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC). The TFPC had earlier placed a red card on the actor due to a financial dispute. However, this issue has now been settled, and the red card has been lifted. On Tuesday, a new production house, Dawn Pictures, announced that Dhanush will star in their maiden film, marking a fresh chapter for the actor.
Dawn Pictures Announces Its First Project
Dawn Pictures made the announcement on their official X (formerly Twitter) account. They wrote, "NEW BEGINNINGS! Dawn Pictures launches with a bang! We are proud to announce our maiden project #D52, starring @dhanushkraja sir." The announcement was accompanied by a note that expressed their excitement about this new venture. Dawn Pictures aims to produce innovative and heartfelt content that will resonate with audiences worldwide.
The note also thanked Dhanush for the opportunity to collaborate with him on this special project. Aakash Baskaran, the producer, expressed his gratitude to Dhanush, calling the actor "Nadipin Asuran" (a title Dhanush earned for his acting prowess). While the film’s title is currently being referred to as "D52," further details, including the cast, crew, and director, are yet to be revealed.
In addition to Dawn Pictures, Dhanush’s own production company, Wunderbar Films, will also co-produce the film, further adding to the anticipation.
Dhanush's Upcoming Projects
Dhanush is not only acting but also continuing his journey as a filmmaker. He is currently directing a romantic comedy titled Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (Why is the moon angry with me?). This film is expected to showcase Dhanush’s versatility both as a director and an actor.
Earlier this year, in July, Dhanush directed and starred in Raayan, a film that featured Sundeep Kishan and Kalidas Jayaram in key roles. Although the film received mixed reviews upon its release, Dhanush’s work continues to attract attention. Additionally, a source confirmed to Hindustan Times that Dhanush will be directing Arjun Vijay’s next project, adding to his growing list of directorial ventures.
TFPC Issue Resolved
In July 2024, the Tamil Films Producers Council had temporarily banned Dhanush, citing issues related to advance payments from production houses. According to the council, Dhanush had accepted payments from producers without fulfilling his commitments to make films for them. This led to the TFPC requesting producers to approach them before signing any contracts with the actor.
Fortunately, the situation has now been resolved. Dhanush agreed to return the advance amount he received from Five Star Creations and has also committed to working on a project with Thenandal Films. This resolution has allowed the TFPC to lift the ban, clearing the path for Dhanush to continue his work in the film industry.
Upcoming Film Kubera
In addition to his directorial work and new projects, Dhanush will also be seen in Sekhar Kammula’s much-anticipated film Kubera. The film features an impressive cast, including Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna, and Jim Sarbh. With such a stellar ensemble and a renowned director at the helm, Kubera is one of the most eagerly awaited films in Dhanush's lineup. Dhanush’s return to the spotlight with Dawn Pictures’ debut project marks a significant moment for both the actor and the new production house. The resolution of his issues with the TFPC has cleared the way for exciting new projects, including his upcoming directorial efforts and acting roles. Fans of Dhanush have a lot to look forward to with his diverse slate of films, from the romantic comedy Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam to the star-studded Kubera. As more details about "D52" and his other projects are revealed, audiences worldwide will eagerly await what the versatile actor and director has in store.
