Diljit’s Strong Message to the Government

In a clip shared on his team’s Instagram account, Diljit said, “If an artist comes from outside the country, they can sing anything, do anything, and no one has a problem. But when an Indian artist performs, there’s interference. Let me tell you, there’s God above. I won’t let this go.”
His remarks drew loud cheers from the audience, as he highlighted the challenges faced by Indian performers.
Diljit also addressed people questioning the success of his shows and the rapid ticket sales. “Some people can’t digest why such big shows are happening. How do tickets sell out in two minutes? For his track Lemonade, he changed the line “Tainu teri daaru ch pasand aa Lemonade” to “Tainu teri coke ch pasand aa Lemonade.” Similarly, in 5 Taara, he swapped “5 Taara thekke utthe” with “5 Taara hotel ch.” These tweaks added humor to the performance, showcasing Diljit’s adaptability and sense of fun.
