Ekta Kapoor, Reacts to mother over POCSO Act Allegations: We are not running ALT Balaji!

Following serious allegations under the POCSO Act surfacing, Ekta Kapoor and her mother, Shobha Kapoor, co-founder of ALT Balaji, came out with a clear clarifying statement regarding the roles played by them in the company and clarified that they are not actively engaged in the day-to-day activities of the firm. This is in the wake of accusations of a series of insensitive scenes featuring minor girls in the web series Gandi Baat.
Define Their Standings
The official Instagram statement by ALT Balaji stated, "Both Ekta and Shobha Kapoor had distanced themselves from the daily management of ALT Digital Media Entertainment LTD." In all the allegations that have been made forth that claimed that the productions house, the company furthered that it is following all the pertinent statutory laws in the country, such as the POCSO Act. The statement clarifies that both
the teams are managing the different departments of the company. Details of the Investigation Ekta and Shobha Kapoor were also summoned by the Mumbai police, which is probing publicly surfacing complaints against the sixth season of Gandi Baat, which aired between February and April 2021.
The cops have sought details about the actors who featured on the show too. They already sent a notice asking for relevant documents from the Kapoors, and are likely to appear for further questioning on October 24. While the Kapoor scam is that the series has some obscene content involving minor girls, it is very much unknown that the ALT Balaji has not put that controversial series up for streaming.
The Bigger Picture However, the present study holds her at the center of public attention again, with her drama film Love, Sex aur Dhokha 2 by Dibakar Banerjee being her latest release. The film appears to depict a very bleak reality of an obsessively digitally dependent society that contravenes intimacy and technological detachment.
