Foreign actresses who made their career in Bollywood

Bollywood-a place that has given many people their dreams, jobs and happiness. While the majority of B-town stars are from India, there are many big names in Bollywood that have earned a huge fan-base irrespective of their nationality. From Katrina Kaif to Nargis Fakhri, are some of the foreign actresses that have made a great fortune by working in Bollywood.

Today, we have brought to a list of some of the Bollywood actresses who originally hail from foreign land.

1. Katrina Kaif 

One of most popular and biggest stars in Bollywood, Katrina Kaif has made her permanent place in the hearts of her desi audience. Born originally as Katrina Turquotte, this Smita Patil Memorial Award winner has made a mark on Bollywood. Katrina has British nationality and she made her debut with “Sarkar” where she played the role of Abheshek Bachchan’s girlfriend. She has also worked in remarkable movies like “Newyork” and “Namastey London”. Besides Hindi movies, Katrina has also worked in Telugu and Malayalam movies. With movies like “Jagga Jasoos”, “Ek Tha Tiger” and “Fitoor” Katrina was last seen in the movie “Bharat”

2. Sunny Leone 

Born as “Karanjeet Kaur Vohra” this Indo-Canadian Bollywood star was seen on MTV Music Video Awards show. She later appeared on Indian reality show “Bigg Boss”. Sunny Leone has now made a remarkable place in Bollywood as she has appeared in numerous movies. From a renowned porn-star to a Bollywood actress, Sunny Leone’s life has truly been an inspiration to many. Sunny Leone is a successful mother to three children and made her debut in Bollywood with the movie “Jism 2”.

3. Jacqueline Fernandez 

This Sri Lankan diva got her breakthrough in Bollywood with the movie “Aladin” (2009). Before making her debut in Bollywood, she won the Miss Universe Sri Lanka pageant of 2006. She made her biggest success in Bollywood with the movie Murder that was released in the year 2011. In 2010, Jacqueline also received IIFA award for Female Star Debut of the year.

4. Nargis Fakhri 

Making her remarkable entrance in Bollywood with the movie “Rockstar” (2011), Nargis Fakhri originally belongs to America. Her chemistry with Ranbir Kapoor and onscreen romance was highly promising which made the actress very popular. She also made an appearance in the movie Madras Café with John Abhraham.

5. Amy Jackson 

Not just Hindi but Amy Jackson has also made her appearance in South Indian films. This British model and actress made her debut in Tamil period-drama named “Madrasapattinam” in 2010. The actress started her modelling career at the age of 16 and she further won titles like Miss Teen World Competition in 2009 and Miss Liverpool in 2010. She made her Bollywood debut with the movie “EKK Deewana Tha” while her entry in Tamil cinema was marked with film Yevadu (2012).
