People are realizing the need for equal rights; Bollywood is also promoting women empowerment and employment. What earlier seemed to be an industry revolving around the males of industry, has now transformed to become an industry producing successful women who are inspiration to many.

Known for their stunning beauty and acting craft, these women made a huge fortune during their film career. Here is a list of actresses who faced a sudden demise but left huge fortune for their loved ones.

Divya Bharti-left us at the age of 19

One of the most iconic faces of 90s era Bollywood, Divya Bharti is remembered as the “saat samundar” girl. The young and talented actress began her career at a young age of 16 and was considered to be one of the most successful actresses in early 90s. The actress died in an unfortunate event at a very early age of 19. As per reports, the actress left huge fortune worth Rs. 70 crores for her loved ones, in 1993. Truly, she was successful.

Jiah Khan- committed suicide at the age of 25

With her notable film choices like Nishabd, Houseful, and Gajani, the fresh-faced actress Jiah Khan added some success feathers in her cap. It came to an utter shock to the entire film industry when the young actress was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her bedroom. According to the media sources, the actress left behind a fortune of Rs. 10-15 crore.

Sridevi-died at the age of 54

Sridevi appeared on big screen as a child artist at the age of 4. Even after a break of few years, the actress continued to work in many Bollywood as well regional cinema until 2018. After her death in a hotel of Dubai, Sridevi left behind huge property of Rs. 247 crores. Her daughters Jhanvi and Khushi Kapoor became the heir to this fortune.

Soundarya

Soundarya made a huge success after her appearance in Amitabh Bachchan starrer Sooryavansham back in 1999. Just five years after her huge success, the actress died in a plane crash. As per the reports, when the actress died in 2004, she left behind huge chunk of money that was worth Rs. 50 crores.

Reema Lagoo

Yet another versatile and legendary actress from Bollywood clan, Reema Lagoo appeared in over hundred movies in her career span of four decades. Considered to be the sweet mother of Bollywood, Reema Lagoo died in 2017 due to cardiac arrest. Some of her notable works include Maine Pyaar Kiya, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Saajan, Vaastav, Hum Apke Hain Kaun, and Hum Sath Sath Hain. Various media reports suggest that the veteran actress left property worth Rs. 15-20 crores.
