Gehna Vashisht Speaks Out

Actor and producer Gehna Vashisht was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday for questioning in connection with the money laundering case tied to Raj Kundra’s pornography scandal. Gehna arrived at the ED’s office in Ballard Estate around 12 noon and underwent a rigorous six-hour interrogation before leaving the office at approximately 6:30 pm.

Details of the Investigation and Raid at Gehna’s Home

Before entering the ED office, Gehna took some time to speak with the media. She shared details about a recent raid conducted at her residence by the Enforcement Directorate. “My place was raided by the agency a few days ago and they were there for 24 hours. My bank accounts and mutual funds have been frozen,” Gehna revealed. When asked about her connection to Raj Kundra, the actress clarified that she did not directly work with him. Instead, she had worked for Umesh Kamath, who had an office in the same building as Kundra’s. Gehna explained, “Whenever a film project is made, the earnings are paid to the artists, technicians, and staff. I paid everyone from the money I received, and whatever was left, I kept as my remuneration.”

Later in the day, Gehna spoke with journalists once more, addressing Raj Kundra's involvement in the scandal and the controversy surrounding the overseas financial transactions. Gehna confirmed that she worked on 11 films for Hotshots, for which she earned a total of Rs 33 lakh. She stressed that these films were “erotic” but not pornography. “Nearly 20-25 directors worked on these films, but only small people like me have been put under scrutiny,” she added.

Gehna, who also appeared in popular series like Gandii Baat on Alt Balaji, has been called in again for further questioning by the Enforcement Directorate on Tuesday.

Explosive Claims in 2021 Interview

In a prior interview with India Today TV, Gehna Vashisht made shocking claims about the Mumbai Police’s actions during their investigation. After an FIR was filed against her in the pornography case, Gehna revealed that Mumbai Police officers had pressured her to name Raj Kundra and Ekta Kapoor in her statement. “The cops said they wouldn’t arrest me if I paid them Rs 15 lakh. I didn’t pay because I felt I had done nothing wrong,” she stated. Gehna added that the police threatened her with “repercussions” if she refused to comply with their demands. Despite these pressures, she maintained that both she and Raj Kundra were innocent, as the videos she acted in were bold content, not pornographic.
