GOAT Movie Review: Vijay's Explosive Performance Steals the Show in Venkat Prabhu's Thriller

GOAT

"GOAT" is a treat for Thalapathy Vijay fans, directed by Venkat Prabhu, bringing double the action and fun. The film tells the story of two sides of Vijay – one as the good guy and the other as a bad one. The action begins in Kenya in 2008, where Gandhi (Vijay) and his SATS team successfully recover stolen uranium. His friends Kalyan, Sunil, and Shaam join him on this dangerous mission. However, their victory causes trouble back home, especially for Gandhi’s family life with his wife, Anu, and son, Jeevan.

Family Drama Meets Action

Gandhi's life takes a dark turn when his family is attacked during a mission in Thailand. Anu ends up in the hospital, and their son, Jeevan, is kidnapped and killed. The story jumps to the future where Gandhi’s life has changed. He now works a desk job and is separated from Anu. But a new threat, Sanjay, brings Gandhi back into action.

Vijay’s Double Role Impresses

Vijay shines in two very different roles, making the film interesting and fresh compared to his previous work. Director Venkat Prabhu fills the movie with action, humor, family emotions, and tributes to Tamil cinema. Fans will love the references to classic films like Ghilli and Thirumalai.

Engaging Storyline and Music

The first half of "GOAT" keeps you hooked with action-packed missions and emotional family drama. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music, including a soulful AI-generated song, adds depth to the movie.

Overall, "GOAT" is a complete entertainer with action, sentiment, and fun. Fans of Thalapathy Vijay will not be disappointed!
