Parineeti Chopra has been doing rounds of promotions for her upcoming biopic “Saina”. She took to Instagram sharing a comparative collage of Saina Nehwal and herself playing Saina for her latest movie.
Based on the life of 31 year old, professional badminton player, Saina Nehwal, the movie is produced by T-series and Front Foot Pictures. The trailer of the movie was deemed extremely powerful as the biopic traces the life of Saina Nehwal as she turned into a badminton champion.
Parineeti shared, “Thrilled to be able to do THIS as an actor once in my life.” Parineeti seems to have exactly captured expression and body language, and the clothes and hairstyle are a match too, in this picture.

Netizens applauded the similarities between the two pictures and praised Parineeti for her stellar efforts on capturing the look perfectly. Chopra had even shared a video displaying the process of her training for the role. She had to get into an athlete’s mind and rigorously practice the sport. Watch the inspiring video here:
The movie initially placed Shraddha Kapoor in the titular role but she had to back out due to health reasons.
Helmed by Amole Gupte, the film captures Sania’s life right from early childhood to her accomplishments as an international sportstar. The biopic releases pan-India on March 26, 2021.
