Popular for his frank opinions on movies and society, Imran Khan recently talked about a rather unsettling encounter he had while filming "Kidnap." Migrating from the romantic hero role he played in "Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na" to a deeper role in "Kidnap," Imran remembered a particularly unsettling sequence in which there was sexual abuse. Imran Khan talked about how uncomfortable he was during a scene he was filming with Minissha Lamba in an interview with the YouTube channel "We Are Yuvaa." The romantic ballad "Mausam" was playing in the background while his character pulled Minissha's character back into a den, allegedly with the intention of assaulting her sexually. Even though the scene ends before an attack takes place, Imran was extremely troubled by the possibilities.

Emotional Impact on Imran Khan

Imran talked about his emotional reaction to the scene. He talked about how uncomfortable he was during the session and how he couldn't get over it afterwards. He was upset all evening, unable to sleep and even feeling physically unwell. To make matters worse, he discovered the next day that Minissha had bruises on her arms from where he had gripped her during the incident. Although Minissha comforted him and helped calm his fears when he confided in her, the encounter had a profound effect on him.

Imran questioned if the sequence needed to be in the movie. He thought it was hard to perform and that it wasn't essential to the plot. Minissha gave an encouraging answer, but Imran acknowledged that he has never completely accepted that aspect of the filming. In 2008, Imran Khan made his screen debut in "Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na," which solidified his reputation as a romantic protagonist. He made his final performance in the 2015 film "Katti Batti." Even after quitting acting, Imran keeps sharing his knowledge and experiences, illuminating the difficulties of filming and the emotional toll it can have on performers.
