On Sunday, singer Kailash Kher was heckled at a concert in Karnataka’s Hampi for reportedly not singing a Kannada song. In response to the singer’s decision to sing only Hindi songs at the Hampi Utsav’s closing ceremony, the crowd threw a bottle at him, according to the police.
Two locals, Pradeep, 22, and Surah, 21, were detained in this respect, and the police said that their statements had been recorded.

When the bottle almost misses Mr. Kher during his performance and lands on the stage behind him, viewers can see him in action. The singer keeps singing without being deterred by this. A few moments later, an official was seen taking the empty water bottle off the stage.
The Karnataka government hosts the three-day Hampi Utsav every year to honour the legacy of the ancient Vijayanagara Empire. It started last Friday.
