Although, Pawandeep doesn’t yearn to be a star. His sole aim is to compose good quality music and do something for his own culture.

Talented since Birth
Pawandeep saw fame at a very young age. He won the youngest Tabla player award at the age of 2 and his singing training began early in life. His performance with dholak in Indian Idol Season 12 was most loved by the judges.

A big fan of Salman Khan
As a teenager, he has got many photos clicked with superstar Salman Khan and he has been a self-acclaimed fan of the Bollywood actor. The actor has also become a big fan of Pawandeep’s singing that he is eager to get him a chance to croon a song in a film and the official announcement will be made soon.
Family
Along with his parents Pawandeep has two sisters named Jyotideep Rajan & Chandni Rajan. Both his father Suresh Rajan, and sister Jyotideep Rajan are singers and have been singing professionally. In fact, Pawandeep Rajan’s father is a renowned Kaumani folk singer.
The Voice Winner
In Indian Idol 12, Pawandeep Rajan has impressed all with his superb journey and his effortless singing style. However, not everyone knows that he had mastered singing very early in his career. He is the winner of the very first season of The Voice in 2015. He had participated in the show as a member of singer Shaan’s team and lifted the trophy along with the prize money of Rs 50 lakh, a car and a contract with a music company.

Pawandeep’s Band “Rait”
Pawandeep’s voice is not only heard in India but across nations. He also perfomed concerts in Dubai, Malaysia, Thailand, and South Africa among other places. He created music for the movie Romeo N Bullet and released albums like Yakeen, and Chholiyar.

Pawandeep Rajan has got a strong possibility of winning the Indian Idol latest season. His rumored relationship with fellow contestant ‘Arunita Kanjilal’ also makes him one of the favourites this season.
Coronavirus Attack
Pawandeep Rajan was also tested COVID positive recently and was quarantined in Mumbai. Earlier it was rumored that he along with his fellow contestants Ashish Kulkarni will be performing from their respective rooms, but Akash Tiwari, Production Head of Indian Idol 12 declined the rumor and soon verified “They both have tested negative, now. They can shoot from tomorrow onward if required,”. He is now doing fine and has returned to the show to impress the judges.
Virendra Sehwag’s appreciation tweet
In January 2021, Virendra Sehwag posted a clip of Pawandeep’s performance in twitter and appreciated his singing talent. Saying: “Small towns have so much talent. Pawandeep Rajan from a small place in Uttarakhand is just so awesome. Loving today’s Indian Idol where they are singing 100 songs from the 90’s.”
