The sets of Indian Idol 12 will be welcoming a special guest this week. Rekha will be joining the judges Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani and Himesh Reshamiya to enjoy a melodious evening full of 90’s Bollywood music.
One song that particularly warmed her heart was Md. Danish’s performance of the title track from Big B’s blockbuster film Muqaddar Ka Sikandar. Delighted by his performance Rekha started showering the contestant with money.

She used Rs 2000 notes for ‘nazar utaarna’ (to protect from the evil eye) and complimented Md. Danish’s vocal skills. “Aap mei toh beta vo ustaado vali baat hai” (Son, you have the skills of a singing maestro), she said.
Furthermore, she also sang a duet with the contestants. The episode is scheduled to be aired on April 3rd and 4th on Sony TV. Indian Idol 12 contestants will be giving some special performances for Rekha; tribute songs from her films.
