Season 1: Abhijeet Sawant
The first season of Indian Idol was held in 2004 and the title was won by Abhijeet Sawant. Sawant remains the most winner of show even today. His debut album was launched in 2005 and he has done playback in multiple Bollywood movies since then.
He has a very popular channel on YouTube when he covers songs and uploads videos. He recently released a remake of Humein Tumse Pyar Kitna, featuring actress Anita Hassanandani in the video.
Season 2: Sandeep Acharya
Hailing from Bikaner, Acharya won Indian Idol in 2006. He sang for multiple Rajasthani and Bollywood movies. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2013 due to jaundice.
Season 3: Prashant Tamang
Formerly a Kolkata police constable, Tamang won the third season of Indian Idol. Later, he launched his debut album Dhanyavad consisting of Nepali and Hindi songs. In 2009, Tamang started his acting career in Nepali films.
Season 4: Sourabhee Debbarma
The first woman to win Indian Idol, Sourabhee also has her name in the Guinness Book of World Records for singing a song upside down. Her feat was telecasted on March 18, 2009. She records and performs songs at live shows till date.
Season 5: Sreerama Chandra
Hyderabad singer Sreerama Chandra won Indian Idol season 5. He debuted his playback career in the Telugu film industry. In 2013, he made his Telugu cinema acting debut with the film Sri Jagadguru Aadi Sankara. He has sung in Hindi films like Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Khiladi 786 and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. The singer still has a strong online presence.
Season 6: Vipul Mehta
Vipul Mehta won the sixth season of Indian Idol in 2012. debuted his playback career in the Telugu film industry. In 2013, he made his Telugu cinema acting debut with the film Sri Jagadguru Aadi Sankara. He has sung in Hindi films like Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Khiladi 786 and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and debut album was Hello Namaste Sat Sri Akal. He performs live and upload songs online even today.

Season 9: LV Revanth
LV Revanth became a popular singer in Tollywood after his feat at Indian Idol season 9. He has sung about 200 songs till date including the song ‘Manohari’ from the film Baahubali: The Beginning. He sang two songs for the hit soundtrack of 2017 film Arjun Reddy.
Season 10: Salman Ali
Having won Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs 2011, Salman Ali added another feather to his cap when he won Indin Idol season 10. He has sung for many Bollywood like Dabangg 3 and now is a part of Zee TV’s reality show Indian Pro Music League as a Team Captain.
Season 11: Sunny Hindustani
Hailing from Punjab, Sunny won Indian Idol season 11 with popular love and support. In 2019, he made his debut as a playback singer with the song ‘Rom Rom’ for the film The Body.
