Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Ending Soon: Compilation Film on Gojo’s Past Arc to Release in 2025
Jujutsu Kaisen fans were taken aback by the recent announcement that the popular manga will end within the next five chapters. While many hoped for a sequel, author Gege Akutami has not confirmed any continuation. However, there is exciting news for fans to look forward to.
New Compilation Film Project Revealed
At the Juju Fest 2024 on August 25, it was announced that Jujutsu Kaisen will release a compilation film in 2025. This film will focus on the Hidden Inventory arc, also known as Gojo’s Past Arc. This arc is crucial as it delves into the backstory of the beloved character Satoru Gojo and has been pivotal in shaping the series.
The Hidden Inventory arc, which has already been partly adapted into the Jujutsu Kaisen anime sequel, is one of the most impactful storylines. It centers on young Gojo and his friend Geto as they embark on a mission to protect Rika Amnai, who is destined to become the next Star Plasma Vessel. The arc introduces Toji Fushiguro, a significant character whose actions greatly influence the series. His killing of Rika leads to Gojo's awakening of greater powers and sets Geto on a darker path.
Upcoming Events
In addition to the film, it was announced that Jujutsu Kaisen will participate in the MBS Anime Fest, scheduled for January 18, 2025. Other notable series like Windbreaker and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch of Mercury will also be featured at the event.
Fans can look forward to both the conclusion of the manga and the upcoming film, which promises to bring more depth to one of the most compelling arcs in the series.
