Kangana Ranaut took a direct dig at Taapsee Pannu for her tweets about Income Tax raid which took place on March 3. Earlier on Saturday, Taapsee Pannu took to Twitter to speak over the I-T raids on her property with a couple of tweets. The actress even joked how she is not so ‘sasti’ (cheap) anymore. This is in reference to Rangoli Chandel’s comment on Taapsee as she had called the Thappad actress ‘sasti copy of Kangana.’

Taapsee breaks silence on intense I-T raids

On Saturday, Taapsee Pannu took to her Twitter handle to speak about the I-T raid on her properties. In a series of Tweets, Taapsee wrote, ” Three days of intense search. Of three things primarily: 1. The keys of the ‘alleged’ bungalow that I apparently own in Paris. Because summer holidays are around the corner.” In following tweets, she said, “The “alleged” receipt worth 5 crores to frame n keep for future pitching coz I’ve been refused that money before Pouting face. My memory of 2013 raid that happened with me according to our honourable finance minister.”

In her last tweet, Taapsee wrote at the footnote, “P.S- “not so sasti”.

Apart from Taapsee, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and a few others associated with the now-shuttered Phantom production house were also raided. Searches took place at 30 locations in Mumbai and Pune.

Rangoli Chandel said Taapsee is ‘sasti copy of Kangana’

Earlier in 2019, Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel had made a comment on Taapsee Pannu. “Kuch log Kangana ko copy kar ke he apni dukaan chalate hain, magar pls note, they never acknowledge her not even a mention of her name in praising the trailer, last I heard Taapsee ji said Kangana needs a double filter and Tapsee ji you need to stop being a sasti copy (Some people copy Kangana but never acknowledge her contribution. Taapsee last said that Kangana needs a double filter. Taapsee, you need to stop being her sasti copy).”
