On Wednesday in Mumbai, Shahana Goswami, Nandita Das, and Kapil Sharma debuted the second trailer for their movie Zwigato. The performers and director spoke extensively about their movie during the press conference, including the reception it received in Korea when it made its debut at the 27th Busan International Film Festival the previous year.
“Zwigato” apparently resonated with the South Korean audience, according to Kapil Sharma. “After seeing the movie, many started crying, and they had no idea that I’m recognised for my comedic work. I thus don’t anticipate any letdown,” he remarked during the press conference.
In Zwigato, Kapil portrays a food delivery worker. The movie follows his path from losing his job as a factory floor manager to all the problems the app and his new employment cause. Shahana plays his wife, who aspires to support her own family through employment.
He said, when asked about attempting a different genre, “I do humour for two hours a day on my show, but I’m not like that for twenty-four hours. I’d want to demonstrate some of my many personality traits. Fans won’t be disappointed, I don’t think, since they’ll be eager to see what new material I’m bringing to the table.
Soon, Zwigato will be seen on a large screen. Comedian Kapil Sharma posted a motion poster for the movie on Instagram with the message, “The year’s most anticipated order has finally arrived! Zwigato. On March 17 in theatres. An endearing account of a food delivery cyclist.”
Nandita earlier stated, when speaking further about the movie, “Zwigato is prepared at last! A tale about the new urban India that explores everything that has become normal to us, not just the gig economy. In Sameer Nair, I found the ideal co-producer to help me create this straightforward yet nuanced slice-of-life story.”
The Kapil Sharma Show is still being worked on by Kapil in the meantime.
