Rumour town has it that Kartik Aryan has been roped in for Allu Arjun starrer Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo’s Hindi remake. The original film was a blockuster success both in theatres and OTT release. Now, Bollywood has taken upto the challenge as the film is being remade, titled ‘Shehzada’.
Hussain Dalal, actor and writer, has confirmed he is adapting the script of Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo in Hindi and fine-tuning it for a remake. Talking about the importance of good casting for the leaing role, Hussain said, “An actor’s own qualities and personality traits always lend themselves to the screenplay. For instance, Kartik Aaryan as an actor and as a person is different from Allu sir. That has to be factored in while writing the screenplay. The way a film is conceived in the South industries is also different from the way we do it in Bollywood. As a writer, I have had to work around that each time I have adapted a film from one language into another.”
He further adds, “Allu Arjun has a certain swag and Kartik has his own kind of screen presence and style that we have to play with. An adaptation works best when you are clear about who you are adapting the story for, what you plan to say with it, and how.”
The film will alegedly be directed by Rohit Dhawan while Rohit Shetty is handling the screenplay. Specualtions are rife that Kriti Sanon will star opposite Kartik Aryan in ‘Shehzada’ which is set to begin shooting soon.
