KBC 12: From Nazia Nasim to Mohita Sharma, MEET women crorepatis of Amitabh Bachchan’s show

Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ is one of the most loved shows on the small screen. The popular reality show enjoys a significant fan following across different age groups. People, who are working hard for competitive exams, prefer to watch the show as it increases their knowledge. The viewers like watching ‘KBC’ as it is not only informative but also inspirational. Contestants from different walks of life have participated in different seasons of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. Interestingly, two women contestants have emerged as the biggest winners in ‘KBC 12’. In this special segment, we will go down the memory lane and have a look at the women contestants, who became crorepatis in ‘KBC’.

Nazia Nasim

Delhi-based Nazia Nasim created history by becoming the first contestant to win Rs 1 crore in ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12’. Before her several contestants tried their luck but they couldn’t emerge as the biggest winner of the season. Nazia, who is an alumnus of IIMC, works as a communication manager for Royal Enfield in the national capital.

Mohita Sharma 

Mohita Sharma, who is an IPS office, became the second contestant to win Rs 1 crore on ‘KBC’ season 12. She managed to leave Big B amazed with her knowledge on different subjects. Mohita took the help of expert Pankaj Pachuri while answering the question for Rs 1 crore. Interestingly, it was her husband’s dream to participate in ‘KB’’. Mohita is currently posted in Jammu & Kashmir’s Bari Brahmana.

Babita Tade

Babita Tade, who works as a mid-day meal cook in Maharashtra’s Anjangaon Surji village, created history when she took home Rs 1 crore in ‘KBC 11’. Her journey proved that one should never stop dreaming. She was even appointed the district ambassador of Election Commission in Amravati to encourage the people to cast their votes.

Binita Jain

Life is not a bed of roses. There are enough thorns but it depends on us how we deal with it. Binita Jain, a single mother, inspired everyone with her journey in ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 10’. She not only bagged a cash prize of Rs 1 crore after answering several tough questions but also earned respect of millions of people in the country. Her husband was allegedly abducted by terrorists and he never returned home. She single-handedly managed everything and took care of her children.

Anamika Mazumdar

Jharkand’s Anamika Mazumdar created history by becoming the first contestant of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 9’ to win Rs 1 crore. The 44-year-old, who runs a NGO, reportedly used her winning amount, for the welfare of underprivileged women and children in Jharkhand.

Sunmeet Kaur Sawhney

Winning Rs 1 crore is not an easy task. There is one contestant, whose name will go down in the history books as the only female participant, who won Rs 5 crore in ‘KBC’. We are talking about unmett Kaur Sawhney. The housewife cum tuition teacher proved that hard work always leads to success. Guess what? She prepared diligently for ‘KBC 6’ for two-and-half months. Her daughters provided rock solid support and left no stone unturned to help their mother.

Rahat Taslim

Rahat Taslim was married off at a young age while she was preparing for her medical exams. Despite the hardships, she continued to stay strong and emerged as a winner in ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 4’. This is what we call women empowerment. Rahat is the perfect example of an independent woman, who can even move mountains.
