Kesari Veer Review: A Powerful Story Ruined by Weak Direction and Flat Acting
Kesari Veer tells the inspiring story of Hamirji Gohil, but weak direction and emotionless acting turn this historical film into a missed opportunity.

Kesari Veer review- Kesari Veer movie is a historical film based on the life story of Hamirji Gohil. People consider this brave warrior of Gujarat as a public leader, but for the rest of the country he has been an unheard hero. He sacrificed his life to protect the country and religion at the age of just 16. This story had immense potential, but the film could not do justice to it.
Kesari Veer Review: The Presentation is Very Weak
An attempt has been made to show the bravery of Hamirji Gohil in the film Kesari Veer, but this attempt remained limited to mere show. Many scenes of the film seem to be direct copies of films like Baahubali and Padmaavat. Director Prince Dhiman probably not only took inspiration from these hit films, but also lifted some scenes exactly.
The film is directed by Prince Dhiman, whose experience has mainly been in TV serials. This is the reason why the treatment of the entire film also seems like a TV show. Historical films demand a big canvas, but here the direction was very superficial. There is neither originality nor any depth.
The Acting of Kesari Veer Actors Was Very Dull
The acting of Suraj Pancholi and Akanksha Sharma is the weakest link of the film. Neither anger is visible on their faces, nor any effect of sadness or happiness. At the same time, Vivek Oberoi and Suniel Shetty definitely put some life in their roles, but they too could not save the film.
The climax of the film has been filmed in the forest, while the real battle took place on the seashore near Somnath Mandir. This is a historical mistake, which raises questions on the authenticity of the film. Showing only a glimpse of the temple was also disappointing.
While making films like Kesari Veer, it is the responsibility of the director and writer to do justice to history. Sadly, the focus here is more on emotions and visuals than history. This film is not for viewers who want to take inspiration from history, but for those who just want to see a visual drama.
