According to reports, the production team decided to use CGI to emphasize the emotional connection and marital dynamics between Queen Wongyeong and King Taejong, rather than focusing solely on physicality.

The premiere achieved a nationwide viewership rating of 5.1%, making it the first weekday tvN K-drama to surpass 5% since January 2024. By Episode 4, the series had broken its own record, reaching an impressive 5.6% average rating.
