On October 7, Vogue Korea delighted fans by uploading a video titled "Kim Ji-won’s Latest Perfume? Beauty Items in Her Pouch Revealed." The video offers a glimpse into the actress’s daily beauty essentials, as well as her reflections on her latest work and personal life.

Kim Ji-won's Must-Have Beauty Items

In the video, Kim Ji-won shared the contents of her beauty pouch, revealing her go-to items for staying fresh on the go. Among the essentials were her favorite perfume, a comb, and a lip balm. She also introduced her small, portable gua sha tool, explaining, “I carry small, portable items when I’m out and about.”

Kim, known for her radiant skin and natural beauty, also revealed her love for self-care. She said, “When I go on trips or want to fully relax at home, I use a large gua sha or foam roller,” emphasizing her fondness for massages to unwind and de-stress.

Reflecting on Her Role in "Queen of Tears"

Kim Ji-won most recently starred as Hong Hae-in, a third-generation chaebol and department store president, in tvN’s hit drama "Queen of Tears." The show, which aired until April, featured Kim in a powerful career woman role. Reflecting on her time filming, Kim said, “From hair and makeup to costumes, I exuded a very cool career woman vibe. It was fun to show such a variety of styles during filming.”

Her role as Hong Hae-in allowed her to experiment with a diverse wardrobe, showcasing over 100 different looks. Kim shared her excitement about this experience, saying, “There were moments when I thought, ‘This look is really pretty.’ It was a new experience for me.”

Comparing Her Iconic Roles

When asked to choose between her styling as Yeom Mi-jeong from "My Liberation Notes" and Hong Hae-in from "Queen of Tears," Kim confessed that her personal style leans closer to Mi-jeong’s. However, she noted, “If I have to pick a style that I like more, it’s Hae-in’s.”

While Mi-jeong's style may be simpler and closer to Kim’s everyday look, her portrayal of Hong Hae-in gave her a chance to experiment with bold, fashionable choices, which she clearly enjoyed. “I love both characters’ styles, but Hae-in’s styling gave me something new to experience,” Kim added.

Kim Ji-won’s Love for Home

Despite her glamorous roles, Kim Ji-won is known for being a homebody, and she didn’t shy away from talking about it in the interview. “If I have just one free day amid a busy schedule, I have to stay home,” she said with a laugh. For Kim, staying in is the perfect way to recharge.

“I catch up on laundry, listen to music, and just zone out while staring at the ceiling,” she shared. "The day flies by that way." Her relatable and down-to-earth attitude has always resonated with fans, showing that even top stars value simple moments of peace and relaxation.
