Kim Soo Hyun Delays ₩12 Billion Lawsuit, Netizens Ask: All That Hype But No Court Fee?

Actor Kim Soo Hyun is in the news after he did not pay the court fees for a lawsuit he filed. The case is against the late Kim Sae Ron’s family and a YouTube channel called Garosero. He was supposed to pay around ₩38 million KRW (about $26,700 USD), but missed the deadline.

Kim Soo Hyun Misses Deadline in Court Case

The Seoul Central District Court asked Kim Soo Hyun to fix some mistakes in his documents and pay the full court fee. He had first said he wanted to sue for ₩12 billion KRW (around $8.16 million USD), but the court had received a claim for only ₩11 billion KRW. So the judge told him to correct it and pay based on the full amount.

This correction also included recognition and delivery fees, which are important in a legal case. Missing this payment could lead to the lawsuit being dismissed.

On April 16, Kim Soo Hyun’s team asked for more time to fix the papers and make the payment. It looks like they sent the request on the last day of the deadline.

In court cases like this, a person has only seven days after getting the court papers to make all corrections. If not done in time, the whole case can be thrown out.

Netizens React to Kim Soo Hyun's Lawsuit Delay

People on the internet were surprised. Many fans are asking why Kim Soo Hyun would file a big celebrity lawsuit if he wasn’t ready to pay the fees. Some say it's unprofessional, while others are simply confused about the delay.

This news has quickly become a hot topic in entertainment news and online forums.

Now, the court will decide if his request for more time will be accepted. If not, the lawsuit could end right away. This could hurt Kim Soo Hyun’s image and may affect his future legal actions.

As of now, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency has not made any public statement.
