Luxury BMW Worth 1 Crore Stolen While Guest Dines at Shilpa Shetty’s Restaurant!

Mumbai’s popular Bastian restaurant, co-owned by Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, recently witnessed an unexpected incident of car theft. A businessman from Bandra, Ruhaan Khan, lost his luxury BMW Z4, worth approximately 1 crore INR, while dining at the upscale establishment. This unexpected event has sparked concern among patrons and raised questions about security at high-end venues.

On October 27, Ruhaan Khan arrived at Bastian in Dadar around 2 a.m. with his friends, entrusting his car keys to the parking attendant, who parked the car in the basement. Surprisingly, within minutes of being parked, Khan’s BMW was stolen. As captured by the parking area’s surveillance cameras, two individuals arrived in a Jeep, used advanced hacking methods to unlock the car, and swiftly drove away with it.

Police Investigate Using CCTV Footage

After spending about two hours at the restaurant, Khan returned at 4 a.m. and asked the attendant to retrieve his car. It was only then that he realized his BMW was missing. A case has been registered at Shivaji Park Police Station, and authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby streets to identify the culprits.

This incident has raised questions about the security of even well-guarded locations in Mumbai, as advanced methods such as digital hacking were used to break into the car.

Shilpa Shetty’s Bastian is located on the upper floors of the Kohinoor Building in Dadar and is known for its chic ambiance, celebrity clientele, and luxurious facilities. Co-owned by Shetty and her business partner Ranjeet Bindra, the restaurant offers a high-end dining experience with a bar and even a swimming pool area, making it a prime location for those seeking a lavish dining experience in Mumbai.
